Free New Team Building Game

Objective:   This activity can be used as an icebreaker at the beginning of a short or long session, with participants who know one another well or with complete strangers to create an informal atmosphere where people feel free to be creative, let their guard down and have fun.

Group Size: 

• Any

Time:

• Depending on number of participants

 Equipment:

• Messages to place inside each balloon (see starter suggestions below) 

• One balloon for each participant 

Facilitation:

• Ask participants to sit in a circle.
• Pass a balloon around the circle.
• Each player has to sit on the balloon with all their weight for 3 seconds.
• If someone breaks the balloon, they must do what it says on the message and leave the circle.

Tips:

• Keep this quick and fun.
• Be sensitive to any weight issues that may exist in the group that may cause discomfort for any individuals.

1. Bark like a dog.

2. Sing a song.

3. Perform a dance with someone who has left the circle.

4. Speak in a different language.

5. Hop on one foot.

6. Chirp like a bird.

7. Recite a nursery rhyme.

8. Sing two lines of a rap song about the group.

9. Describe (at the age of ) what you wanted to be when you grew up.

10. Tell something about yourself that no one else in the room knows.
